As many as five people were killed and eight were injured after a speeding truck rammed into a tempo on the Ahirwan flyover in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur.  This incident was reported just hours after 26 people were killed in another road accident in Kanpur. A tractor-trolley carrying about 50 people overturned and fell into a pond.  Most of the victims were women and children, and the death toll is likely to go up. The tractor was on its way to Ghatampur after passengers attended a "mundan" ceremony at the Chandrika Devi temple in Fatehpur.
